In a bid to address the deteriorating asphalt sections, the Lagos State Government has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion plan encompassing Adeniji through Falomo, including Bourdillon and Queens Drive.
Commencing from Monday, 13th May, 2024, the repair works are scheduled to extend until 7th November, 2024.
To minimize disruptions, the repair activities will be executed in phases. Phase 1 will concentrate on the segment from Glover Road Junction on Alfred Rewane Road to Falomo Roundabout, commencing on the specified date. During this phase, the Glover Junction to Falomo Roundabout section will be inaccessible to traffic.
Throughout Phase 1, motorists traveling from Alfred Rewane Road towards Falomo Roundabout are advised to divert left at Glover Road Junction onto Thompson Avenue, accessing Falomo Bridge via Bourdillon Road to continue their journeys.
However, the opposite side of the road, from Falomo Roundabout towards the Mainland, will remain open to traffic.
Motorists are urged to exercise patience and cooperation during this partial closure, as it forms a crucial component of the traffic management strategy aligned with the rehabilitation efforts on the road sections, overseen by the Federal Ministry of Works (Office of the Federal Controller, Lagos).
