Enioluwa Adesina, a 400-level student at Bowen University's College of Law, Iwo, Osun State, recently assumed the role of the institution's one-day Vice-Chancellor. During a press conference held to mark the 2024 and 5th edition of the annual initiative, Adesina advocated for the incorporation of internship education into the curriculum of Nigerian tertiary institutions. He emphasized the significance of practical experience in preparing students for the demands of the job market.

Additionally, Adesina urged education administrators to adopt digital education systems to enhance teaching and learning processes in Nigerian universities, thereby improving skill development among students. Speaking about Bowen University, he highlighted its commitment to excellence and godliness, aiming to produce graduates equipped with entrepreneurial skills and strong moral values.

Bowen University's one-day Vice-Chancellor initiative, introduced in 2020, allows students with outstanding academic records to lead the university for a day. Adesina, along with his deputies Flourish Nwachukwu and Opeyemi Oladehinde, won the recent elections after undergoing rigorous selection criteria, including leadership tests and book reviews.

During their tenure, Adesina and his team implemented several decisions aimed at improving student welfare and academic experience. These decisions included lifting the late registration ban, introducing emergency health services, organizing training sessions for hostel managers and student executives, and approving inter-campus sports competitions.

Moreover, initiatives such as the study-work system and networking opportunities with alumni were initiated to enhance students' overall learning experience. Adesina's leadership exemplifies Bowen University's commitment to student-centered learning, mentorship, and integration, reflecting its dedication to holistic education.
