Tinubu's Economic Reforms Show Positive Signs, Affirms Alake

Dr. Dele Alake, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, expressed on Thursday that the reforms initiated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration are beginning to yield positive outcomes, particularly in the resurgence of Nigeria's economy. He made these remarks while hosting a delegation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Professionals Forum, led by former Bauchi Governor Isa Yuguda.

Alake emphasized Tinubu's visionary leadership and willingness to make tough decisions, which are instrumental in stabilizing the economy and laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth. He asserted, "The President's commitment to implementing challenging reforms will establish lasting structures that will endure beyond the current administration."

Highlighting the tangible progress, Alake pointed out the strengthening of the naira and the increasing stability in the foreign exchange market as indicators of the reforms' effectiveness. He also underscored the administration's focus on infrastructural development, citing projects like the Lagos-Calabar coastal road, which is poised to revolutionize transportation and spur economic activity along its route.

Alake urged members of the APC Professionals Forum to actively contribute their expertise and ideas to support the administration's agenda of delivering tangible benefits to Nigerians. He reiterated the government's openness to innovative solutions and its commitment to executing the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In response, Yuguda praised Alake's efforts in revitalizing the mining sector and emphasized the pivotal role of solid minerals in Nigeria's economic prosperity. He called for collective support from both citizens and the government to fully harness the potential of the mining industry, suggesting that solid minerals could surpass oil as the nation's primary revenue source.

Yuguda explained that the APC Professionals Forum aims to mobilize knowledgeable professionals across various sectors to contribute to nation-building efforts. He assured that the forum would play an active role in promoting government initiatives and providing constructive feedback where necessary, aligning with its mission to advance the nation's development agenda.
