Dunamis apologizes to woman questioned during testimony

A woman, Vera Anyim, who faced criticism after her testimony at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, clarified that she holds no ill will against the church.

The controversy arose when during her testimony, Anyim mentioned graduating with a "Bsc in Law" from the National Open University of Nigeria. However, the Senior Pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche, interrupted, disputing her claim and questioned the accuracy of her testimony. He then instructed her to step down from the pulpit.

Following the incident, there was public outcry, with many demanding an apology from the pastor. Nonetheless, Anyim, in a Facebook post on Monday, revealed that she had reconciled with Dr. Enenche and his wife, Becky, and harbors no resentment towards the church. She urged everyone to move on from the situation.

In response to the matter, the church issued a statement explaining that concerns arose during Anyim's testimony regarding her language proficiency and the clarity of her academic credentials. The statement emphasized the church's commitment to maintaining standards of excellence and integrity.

Photos confirming Anyim's graduation from NOUN surfaced online, validating her academic background. In her earlier reaction to the incident, Anyim expressed disappointment at being labeled a liar due to her language proficiency and a mistake in terminology. She clarified that she graduated with a Third Class from NOUN.
